All aboard the diversity train! It just picked up another passenger:
Macon Mayor Jack Ellis has converted to Islam and is now working to legally change his name to Hakim Mansour Ellis.
Ellis, who was raised Christian, said Thursday that he became a Sunni Moslem during a December ceremony in the west African nation of Senegal.
I was just commenting to my wife this morning that what this country needs is more Moslem mayors. My wish came true! And a Sunni Muslim at that, which is the core of the anti-American insurgency in Iraq—folks who might have a few grievances against us.
Hakim says his conversion was not a spur-of-the-moment impulse, but a long-considered move that he feels re-connects him with his roots:
Ellis said he has been studying the Koran for years and that his new religion was originally practiced by his ancestors before they were brought to North America as slaves.
Yeah, there’s nothing like converting to the
religion of those who originally placed your ancestors into slavery to get in
touch with your past. This is true of
African slavery of the past
and
of the present .
This just can’t get any better, can it? Or can it? Among the many accomplishments he lists on his official web site is this disturbing claim:
“He demolished or assisted homeowners in repairing over 2,300 houses...”
Hmmm ... I’m not aware of any other public official who openly brags about demolishing homeowners. Maybe they were part of the dar al-Harb, and had it coming. And just think of what he can do now that he has direct links to many more supporters in the dar al-Islam.
Yep, we’re living in some interesting times, alright.
CFPA: Thanks Michael for the article. We are not only living in interesting times but dangerous times as well. Moslems are working their way into the political fabric of this country at an alarming rate. And the average brain-dead couch potato American is not even aware of what is happening....it seems that the most important thing in their lives are the latest sports scores. Let's hope that they wake up before it's too late.
